Avatars and Signatures

Avatars
An avatar is a small image that appears under your username on your posts on the forum and within your profile. To get one, click "profile" on the menu at the top of the page, then on the submenu which has your profile options, click "Avatar" you can then browse and upload one directly from your computer. Alternatively you can link to an offsite avatar via uploading to a free image host such as Tinypic, then input the direct link to your image.
Remember - Avatars are supposed to be small and not invasive! Keep your image small, take a look at my avatar for a rough idea.

Signatures
Just like if you were writing an email, a forum signature is something that will always appear at the bottom of your posts without you having write it out each time. You might want a link to your website in there, or your name, or a small banner/picture of your guinea pigs. Whatever you choose please make sure if you do include an image, keep it a sensible size as it will show on all of your posts! (Note: You may need to make the appropriate setting in your profile for your signature to show. There should be an option that says "Always attatch signature" make sure this box is ticked.
