No 'New Replies to Topics'

I don't know why, but when I came on here just now, none of the replies to any topics or any new topics showed up when I went to 'show new replies to topics' as usual. This has meant I have had to try and trawl through everything to see if there have been replies to my posts etc and to find any new topics posted since I was last on here yesterday afternoon.

Any idea why this is? I have done nothing different to usual.

Can I also apologise to people if it appears I am ignoring them in threads, but it isn't the case, it may just be that I don't realise there have been new replies in those threads

Hmm I haven't had that problem. Wonder why you're getting that problem and I'm not?!??!

just curisous.. did you log on and not read new messages, and when you logged back on later all the new messages were 'read' anyway?

In that case, I believe it's cause the forum is set up by default to 'mark all as read' if you log out.

It can be changed so that you have to manually mark things as read, but that's Matts department.

All seems to be OK and behaving now - apart from, from time to time when I click 'show unread posts since last visit' a lot of posts I have replied to come up - with me as the last person to post???

The show unread posts since last visit option is just that - since last visit. I assume if you've made a post in a topic, and not actually gone to "view" it yourself, the forum thinks you haven't seen it...

But this seems to be a new thing - it never used to do that

I mean my last post comes up with a little orange tag to say new content since last read - I know it will still come up in my list of unread topics until I log out and back in again. I tend to ignore things unless they have an orange tag - but I don't need to go back and read what I just posted
