correcting Mistakes Empty correcting Mistakes

Post by Hendy Wed Feb 23, 2011 1:40 am

Is there any way of correcting a mistake once its been posted. referring to the which breeds are most popular - I have inadvertantly used Jasons name and couldnt edit to correct it and change it to Bens. It has now caused an unnecessary amount of confusion. given that there was already a deficit in reading comprehension part of this thread- please can some edit it! Thankyou

Is there a reason [okay I'm sure there is] - that we cannot go back and edit our own messages past that first few minutes? I know sometimes I will find a typo or some information has changed and instead of just editing and adding to the first post - I need to reply or create a new post...

Why's that? I am pretty sure every other forum I am on allows permanent editing?

Yes there is a reason. We limited the time because a few months back a select few people thought they could wriggle out of having made a comment via going back and editing their post to oblivion - I will increase the time window but unfortunately can't open editing forever.
