Is it possible to have a pet/crossbred section that people can post their questions onto. I understand that 'pets' are a way of involving people in the fancy and a lot of serious breeders also do pets..... but I think that sometimes people get carried away with the 'breeder'aspect of keeping cavies and just do it to produce pets to sell on..... and it would help draw a clear distinction between pet breeders and exhibition breeders. Call me old-fashioned if you like Laughing

I agree, but we'd need to clarify how it was done. Would they not feel a bit hard done by if they had one section to post anything pet/crossbred related and the whole rest of the forum was devoted to pures? I don't know...

You also have to consider if confusion would be caused i.e. if I had a question that is about pets but also fits into cavy general, which do I choose? We may find that all our time is spent moving topics...new 'pet' litters....new litters or pet section???

What do the mods think??

Not keen on the idea if it means moving topics constantly Matt. It's time-consuming and I never mind with newcomers, but they're not always the ones that get it wrong. I'm happy to go along with it if everyone wants it but I think we have to establish that it really is necessary before we add anything more to confuse issues.

Yes those are my concerns Gwen.

I have, however, split up the advertising sections.
